Approach

Clinical work

My work takes two forms: psychoanalytically oriented psychotherapy, and psychoanalysis. Together we can discuss which of the two best suits what you are looking for, always taking into account your question, your pace and how much you can take on.

Psychoanalytically oriented psychotherapy takes place in weekly sessions and starts from the question that brings you, even if you may not yet have words for it. It is usually the form in which the therapeutic process begins. Both short-term and long-term work are possible, as are sessions at longer intervals.

Psychoanalysis is more open in its approach: sessions can take place more often and are less guided by a question defined at the outset. More attention is given to unconscious processes and recurring patterns. A psychoanalysis can sometimes grow out of an ongoing psychotherapy.
